Based in South Herefordshire, Greenleaf Architecture provides efficient and effective Architectural services both locally and across the South West of England, London and South Wales.
Tom McEwen formed Greenleaf after seven years at Hereford architects Architype and three years with Murray John Architects in London. He originally trained and worked in technical theatre as a set and lighting designer for theatre and television, and as production manager for a number of theatre companies and festivals.
Tom worked full time for Hereford architects; Architype, for 7 years when, amongst other things, he delivered three secondary school projects in Barnet and a day care facility for people with dementia in Southwark. He was part of the Architectural team delivering the UK’s first two Passivhaus primary schools for Architype, as well as a complex Passivhaus housing development in Camden. He ended his time at Architype designing and project managing a substantial Enerphit (Passivhaus – refurb) project on a large private home in Oxford.
Tom has an MSc Architecture – Advanced Environment & Energy Studies, from the Centre for Alternative Energy (CAT).
He studied Architectural Technology at The University of West London and has a BA(Hons) in Technical Theatre Arts from Middlesex University.
He is a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT).
